OVERVIEW
The Director of Maintenance (DOM) is accountable for comprehensive delivery of aircraft maintenance services across the organization. This includes the design, development, and implementation of short term, intermediate and long term operational plans in the context of our vision and mission.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
• Meets the qualifications for Director of Maintenance as defined in FAR Part 119.71. To serve as Director of Maintenance under § 119.69(a) a person must hold a mechanic certificate with airframe and powerplant ratings and either:
- Have 3 years of experience within the past 6 years maintaining aircraft as a certificated mechanic, including, at the time of appointment as Director of Maintenance, experience in maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as the certificate holder uses; or
- Have 3 years of experience within the past 6 years repairing aircraft in a certificated airframe repair station, including 1 year in the capacity of approving aircraft for return to service.
• Highly knowledgeable of Federal Aviation Regulations, and of EMS aviation practices and requirements.
• Minimum of ten (10) years aviation maintenance experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years turbine powered airplane maintenance experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive supervisory experience and/or demonstrated management skills.
• Maintenance and/or management experience on the Beechcraft King Air Series and Pilatus PC12 model aircraft preferred.
• Capability and eagerness to manage Company maintenance activities as required, supporting round-the-clock operations.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to maintain tact and diplomacy in communicating with management and staff at all levels in high stress situations.
• Mathematical ability to assist in preparing annual budgets and monitoring fiscal activity.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and experience preferred.
Skills:
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Ramco software knowledge preferred
Credentials/Licenses:
• Valid FAA Airframe and Power plant (A&P) certificate.
• Inspection Authorization (IA) certificate, or IA eligible with commitment to obtain within one (1) year of date of hire.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Working Conditions:
• Constant exposure to routine office noises, such as office machines, conversations, foot traffic; moderate electrical or mechanical hazards.
• Some exposure (less than 1/3rd) to loud aircraft noise, moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles, risk of electrical shock.
• Periodic travel by air and/or ground will be required.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
• Activities requiring moderate amount of sitting, standing, walking, speaking and listening.
• Frequent hands to key ability to input data and information.
• Close and distance visual capabilities.
• Capable of lifting 40 pounds floor to bench height.
• Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Interrelationships: Direct reports include all sub-level managers in the Maintenance Department.
